The Irish government have released a one million euro stimulus grant to get Irish artists of any musical genre, resident in the Republic of Ireland, to record while live gigs have been cancelled due to Covid19.
Grants include €1200 to record a single, €4000 to record an E.P., € 6000 to record an album.
This stimulus package was launched in September 10 2020 and any recordings started before this date do not qualify.
Recording started after Sep 10 can qualify but recording must commence before December 23 2020.
There are a few criteria to fill in for the application but it looks like it is a relatively easy process. You will need to put a project outline together along with some background information plus a budget to include musicians, artists, recording studio etc.
